Abstract EN

The main objective of the article is to present some observations concerning certain indicators of publishing and academic freedom, and relate them to the current state of social sciences in Algeria.

Whatever it is said and repeated in certain speeches, however, the reality indicates that the field of the social sciences was made and determined according to other different mechanisms, namely the rules of organization of the field itself.

Thus, when we speak here of `` the current situation of social sciences in Algeria '' 'we are talking about actors in their relationship with the conditions that determine their practices and their existences, but rather the 'field' as it is determined by the rules and the issues that frame those who work there.
