Abstract EN

This study deals with the role of the Algerian police as one of the security agencies contributing to the prevention of the crime of child kidnapping that threatens the entity and stability of Algerian society, and this is in its capacity to deal with it in several ways, such as prevention before it occurs, detection and arrest of the perpetrators through its continuous presence in the field.

In this context, our analytical study falls within the subject of this article, in which we used the descriptive approach in order to try to show that the police are a social system that contributes to the prevention of the crime of child abduction, through a set of preventive measures in order to achieve family and societal stability.

We have concluded that the prevention of this crime is not the sole responsibility of the police, but rather the complementarity of the efforts of the various civil society institutions.
