Sports have gone frombeing a hobby activity, listening to spectatorsintomaking.

Advanced on specializedscientific grounds, sports professionalism has emerged as a variable in recentyears, stronglyimposingitself, generating billions of dollars on professional clubs, and reflectingpositively on the status of clubs and players, by transforming sports practice into a profession in whicheveryonewhoworks in sports gains theirlivelihood.

It alsohelped to developplayers' skills and upgrade the overalllevel of sport.

Sports professionalismisnow a vital requirement for success at the global level, and even in some Arab States, becauseitis a system completewithitsrequirements and variables, itcannotbeignored in anyway, given the state of play in Algeria.

However, its application issubject to the political, economic and social conditions of each State.

Algeria has thereforesought to keep pace withdevelopments at the global and continental levels.

This is by providingmaterial and legalrequirements for the advancement of football in particular.
