The legal approach between decent work and sustainable development in the nineties was traced back to the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in 14 June 1992, which implicitly referred to the relationship between the two concepts and the ILO Declaration of 1999."Decent work," these declarations were able to establish legal links between the two concepts and establish international norms by reformulating all relevant international instruments along these lines to make the two concepts complement each other and work towards common ends.
