To settle international disputes, Article 33 of the UN Charter provides a number of peaceful means including, but not limited to, judicial means on the level of the international law since it is considered the main judicial body in the United Nations.

The international law plays a key role in settling legal international disputes thanks to its various specialties which include the judicial jurisdiction, the temporary emergency jurisdiction, and the advisory jurisdiction.
