Abstract EN

This study aims to know how the state uses the fiscal policy tools represented in expenditures and public revenues, in order to create the desired effects in the economy, either by following it deflationary fiscal policy or an expansionary fiscal policy according to the economic conditions experienced by the country from inflation or recession.

to achieve the goal of the study, descriptive statistics tools has been used to analyze the behavior of some economic indicators based on official statistics provided by national and international organizations.

The study found that Algeria followed an expansionary fiscal policy during the period (2010-2014) and marked a deflationary fiscal policy during the period (2015-2019), which negatively affected the economic indicators like the GDP growth rate, inflation rate, unemployment rate.
