Abstract EN

The present research, which is entitled " Hope and Hopelessness in Abd Al Kareem Al Karmy's Poetry", deals with two topics, which are 'Hope' and 'hopelessness' in this poet's poetic works and digging into the motives and reasons that led to produce such topics .

This research falls into two sections, preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion as well as a list of references .

In the preliminary section, 'Hope' and 'Hopelessness' are presented in terms of language and lexical views, then how these two topics are psychologically investigated.

The first section, which is entitled "Hope in Al Karmy's Poetry" is concerned with those aspects of the theme 'Hope', that which is related to the freedom of Palestine and returning to the homeland and reuniting his beloved .

The second section comes with the title "Hopelessness in Al Karmy's poetry" deals with those factors that ensued the feeling of desperation represented with aspects of politics, society and emotion
