Abstract EN

The textual coherence is considered as an important textual element in text linguistics.

It contributes in two ways: textual concepts and semantic relations in the text structure at the interior level in the deep semantic structure.

Such concepts are essential since they are part of knowledge formation and a considerable content that can be retrieved to trace these concepts by which meaning.

Ideas, and textual events become correspondent in form of sequences and successions unified in the formation of text and cohesion in a way that enables the text receiver to get connected with the text producer in various procedures of textures such as the title, event arrangement, and text structure.

The research traced these concepts in Mohathab Al Deen Al Basry.

The study was divided into two parts.

The first one is a theoretical background concerning textual elements and their functions.

The second part is the application of these to Al Ibra Al Shafiya and Al Fikra Al Wafiya.
