Abstract EN

This study aims to show the role of financial donations in supporting the economy of ancient Roman cities of Algeria, by studying the vow and the gifts presented by aristocracy that lived in those cities, the study problem was devoted to knowing the extent of the participation of influential people in the development of the city's economy and how that was, The study was based on the historical descriptive approach and one of the tools of the study is relying on the texts of the Latin inscriptions through which we can identify the various names of those personalities and their administrative and religious ranks and their social rank, as we relied on Roman written sources to deduce the characteristics of the economic situation that existed at the time, and from the results of the study that the cities of Algeria In fact, knew the existence of influential personalities whose wealth was harnessed to serve and develop the cities economy in many forms, the most important of which are the buildings and facilities that are still an archaeological witness to this day, finaly our recommendations on this topic is to carry out serious and specialized studies in the affairs of Algerian society during the Roman period.
