Abstract EN

The purpose of the study is to highlight the role of Islamic banks in promoting the economic and social dimensions of sustainable development, We focused on the Islamic Bank of Jordan's experience because it is one of the leading Islamic banks in Jordan, In this context it is necessary to examine the bank's annual reports and financing activities for the economic and social sectors from 2013 to 2019, By this study we concluded that Islamic banks by the nature of their work and their principles applied in their financial operations contribute significantly and clearly to the promotion of sustainable development through their support for their economic and social dimensions.

The results of the experience study of the Jordanian Islamic Bank also showed that the bank strives to consolidate the principles of sustainable development through its economic and social activities most of the social and economic performance indicators of the bank being positive and linked what the economic and social dimensions of sustainable development are looking for
