Abstract EN

The current research aimed at finding out the effect of the Daniel Goleman model on developing literary appreciation skills for literary fifth graders.

To achieve the research goal, the researcher adopted an experimental design with partial control, which is the design of the control group with a dimensional test.

The research sample included (82) students from the fifth literary class in Abu Dhar Al-Ghafari prep for boys in Baghdad, and they were randomly assigned to two groups, by (42) students in the experimental group, and (40) students in the control group.

The researcher taught the experimental group with a model Daniel Goleman, taught the control group in the traditional way.

Using the T-test for two independent samples, the study resulted in a statistically significant difference between the average scores of students in the two research groups and in favor of the experimental group.
