Abstract EN

This research is concerned with studying the legal position about stateless in terms of reason for the presence of stateless persons.The problems facing domestic legislation in determining its legal position and knowing the applicable Law to them in transactions and disputes to which they are aparty, In addition to the main problem is their lack of nationality for the country in which they live and nationality of any other country.The matter that losing them most basic rights to education ,employment, insurance and social welfare.

Here the (U.N)most intervene to reduce statelessness on the one hand and to provide them with protection and rights on the other hand.In addition to entering national legislation to find appropriate solution for this.

We have care on the role of the Iraqi legislator in the applicable nationality law No.26 of 2006 we showed weakness and strength in its fold to reduce statelessness.
