Abstract EN

There are many children who suffer undesirable behavior that may affect their future performance on the practical and the academic levels in their life in general.

The investigation of this behavior will reveal its danger for it affects some of the children's abilities and skills which are supposed to be active to support the child while performing certain functions that require concentration and attention.

The suppressive contradiction is one of the two basic components of the suppressive control.

Besides, the suppressive delay constitutes the second component.

These two components are among the high-rate cognitive operations that " sift" the ideas , activities and emotional reactions before being performed.

They are necessary for adapting and directing the behavior towards achieving the goal.

Generally the suppressive control is a distinctive indicator in the development of the executive functions.

This research aims at defining the suppressive contradiction in kindergarten.

It is limited to the five- year- old children of the kindergartens in Al-karkh side of Baghdad city during the academic year 2017-2018.

The results reveal that the suppressive contradiction of the children in these kindergartens is characterized by weakness.

According to the results of the first hypothesis that refers to the weakness of the suppressive contradiction, it is clear that the results tend to be for the sake of the hypothesized average which in turn requires the interference of the educationalists as well as the role of the parents to supervise their children's training of controlling their concentration towards the significant stimulations As for the second and third hypotheses , the results show no difference of statistical significance in relation to sex variable and type of kindergarten, governmental or private.
