Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the elite assessment of the credibility of media coverage of projects and issues of sustainable economic development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in news websites using the questionnaire as a tool to collect data from a deliberate sample of 90 members of the elite (media, economic, and academic), 30 forms for each of the followers of media coverage of economic development projects and the process of data collection took two weeks.

Ultimately, the study reached several findings as follows: - The elite's follow-up pattern of media coverage of economic development projects in news websites was dominated by the pattern of permanent follow-up.

The highest percentage of the follow-up was credited to Alarabiya.

net followed by the website of the Middle East newspaper while the list of websites said that the Al-Ain news website was ranked first.

The highest follow-up percentage was in favor of Al-Madinah Project Neume, which ranked first, followed in second place the Digital City Project in Riyadh.

Such a project comes in line with overall giant projects adopted by Saudi Arabia in the national transformation program to achieve the vision 2030.

-Rising the rate of contribution of news sites in upgrading the level of the economic- developmental culture of the respondents.

The degree of contribution ranged between large to a moderate extent, as it has shown clearly that those websites turned out to play an enlightenment, educational and developmental role of those projects through the media coverage.

- The degree of the respondents' evaluation of the credibility of media coverage of sustainable development projects was characterized by being a medium degree.

It was an intellectual information treasury for these projects that enrich the minds' browsers as a sample of respondents stated such credibility.
