This research aims to provide a knowledge base on sustainable transport, and to introduce pioneering experiences in the application of sustainable transport, with a focus on the experience of transport sustainability in the United Arab Emirates.

This study found that the United Arab Emirates has made great strides in establishing sustainable transportation systems and infrastructure, as well as its intensive efforts to reduce its impact on the environment, with the help of efficient energy and environmental management systems and the latest technology to maintain safety and environmental sustainability through: Improving transportation safety, Enhancing the environmental sustainability of transportation, achieving the sustainability of occupational health and safety, and enhancing the sustainability of security, as the experience of the Emirate of Dubai has taken a major step by issuing laws and projects that promote environmental preservation to support sustainable transport.
