Symbolism is one of the major revolutionary literary schools that have affected literature in all its forms, content and purpose, and the symbol has great importance on shaping images, highlighting them and enriching their artistic significance.

The symbol has different forms, as we will see in this study in which we try to show the manifestations of the symbol in Sudanese poetry, in order to stand through it on how the poet was able to employ the symbol to express what he wanted in terms thoughts, emotions and issues.
