Since its independence, Algeria has undertook an appropriate legislative policy to promote investment.

For this reason, a package of measures has been taken to create a favorable environment for foreign and national investments.

Local investment has been an important aspect for the aspiration of Algeria as being the most effective option in raising the revenues of local groups.

This will give them an oportunity to gradually move away from the subsidies allocated by the state, notably, the municipal and sectoral developmental plans.

In this regard, the expected role of the governor as being a local legislative authority, plays a pivotal role in promoting and supporting the investment.

Through his supervision of the various administrative procedures related to granting licenses of exploiting, waiving and settling the industrial and active areas.
