لم يبق من الحمامات العمومية بالمدن المصرية - رغم الاشارات المصدرية و الوثـائقية إلى كثــرتها- إلا عدد قليل مما اهتمت به لجنة حفظ الآثار العربيـة و هذا بالتأكيد ناشىء عن أسباب مختلفة منهـا تحديث المدن و تطور عمـرانها و نظم تصميم أبنيتها و مـرافقها والتوسع منذ أوائل القرن 20م في مد شبكات المياه و الصـرف إلي أبنيتها و لا سيمـا المساكن و التي أصبح الحمام الخـاص بها مـرفق أســاسي استغني به عـن الحمامـات العموميـة و تسجل هذه الورقـة البحثية لأول مرة اعتمادا على الوثائق و الخرائط المساحية موقع حمام الفيوم العمومي المندثــر و الذي رجحت الدراســة أنه يرجع إلي العصر العثماني و استمر يؤدى وظيفته خلال القرن 19م و حتى سبعينات القرن 20م و قدمت استقراء لبعض تفاصيلـه المعمارية كالتصميـم و تخطيط وحداته و بيان ملحقاته وذلك من خلال الوثائق و المصادر مع بيان تأثير التطور الحادث لاحقا في القرنين 19 و 20 الميلاديين على بنيته الانشائية و المعمارية و بالتالي فهي تكشف عن منشــأة مندثــرة طالما اشارت إليها دراسات سابقة دون أن تتمكن من تحديد أيا من المعلومات السابقة عنها
Abstract EN
There are no large numbers of public baths left in Egyptian cities, for various reasons, such as projects that deliver water to homes in the first half of the 20th century; But this research records for the first time by relying on documents and cadastral maps, the site of Fayoum extinct public bath, which the study most likely dates back to the Ottoman era and continued to work during the 19th century AD until the seventies of the 20th century AD; The study tried to extrapolate some architectural details about the design of this public bath, the plan of its units, and its annexes, through documents and sources; With an explanation of the impact of the development that occurred later in the 19th and 20th centuries AD on its structural and architectural structure; consequently, it reveals an extinct facility as long as previous studies referred to it, without being able to determine any of the previous information about it.
