The study focuses on the methods of persuasion adopted by Prof.

Dr.

Mohammad Sarhan in his poem.

This poem represents a mature model that allows the approach of its author.

In addition, by highlighting argumentation and the mechanisms of persuasion, this study is deemed to be one of the applied linguistic studies addressing the praise poem as a literary form.
