Abstract EN

This study, based on the descriptive and analytical approach, aims to shed light on the history of the major epidemics known to mankind and to introduce the Corona pandemic, as well as highlight the most important economic repercussions of the Covid-19 crisis at the global level.

This study concluded that the health crisis of the Coronavirus has transformed, through several channels, into an economic crisis; although the effects of the pandemic are still largely unclear, it caused fluctuation in global trade, and the preventive measures adopted by most countries have restricted the movement of Transport and travel have caused significant losses in the transport and tourism sector.

Financial markets have also witnessed severe turmoil due to the uncertainty in the global economic outlook.
