Due to the importance of small projects and their efficiency in addressing the various variables facing the national economy, most of the developing countries have focused their efforts on them in recent years, and this study is to translate the efforts of the Algerian State in particular to further encourage the establishment and establishment of the small enterprise sector And to work to improve the investment climate of this sector, and the study aims to clarify the vital and important role played by the development of small and medium enterprises in the Algerian economy, as it is one of the most important pillars in the fight against poverty and unemployment through the provision of jobs, orb a large volume of employment, increase the volume of investment, contribute to domestic output and increase value added.

The problem of the study was to determine the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in strengthening the economy of Algeria, by studying the nature of the relationship between the two variables and to ascertain the nature of this relationship and to achieve the objectives of this study was based on the descriptive and analytical approach by identifying what projects Small and medium size and indicate its importance in the provision of jobs and reduce the problem of unemployment in Algeria, especially for the youth group as well as its ability to raise productive efficiency, and then move to provide various statistical aspects related to this sector by highlighting the status of these institutions in Algeria in terms of Distribution by legal nature and region.
