As part of its strategy to deal with the challenges presented, Algeria has attempted to use an integrated strategy internally to enhance internal stability politically, economically and as well as security, as it has tried on the external level to focus on Algerian diplomacy and emphasize the role of peaceful means in resolving conflicts and overcoming crises.

From a practical point of view, the regional environment surrounding Algeria has witnessed since 2011 and its political and security transformations in the region.

Accordingly, many challenges and threats that affected the Algerian national security emerged internally and externally, such as the spread of terrorist groups in North Africa and the Sahel region, similar to al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb and ISIS.

This is in addition to the development and spread of organized crime and Smuggling operations, especially in light of the collapse of political systems and the institutional vacuum that prevailed in both Libya and Mali.
