Abstract EN

This study examines the Russian military intervention in Syria by examining the geopolitical importance of Syria in the Russian strategic perception, as well as focusing on the Russian geopolitical justifications for this intervention, and its implications at the local, regional and global levels.

This is due to the importance of Russia's return to the international arena, and the Middle East, which it considers to be its back garden, this return that came through the Syri an gate.

The study concluded that Russian intervention is not equal on the ground in favor of the Syrian regime, and has had repercussions on the regional powers involved in the conflict, as well as the foundations for structuring a new international order within the framework of formation.
