The study of Turkish politics under the Justice and Development Party (AKP) is of increasing importance to researchers and specialists in regional issues and foreign policy.

This study is an attempt to clarify the determinants of the evolution of Turkey's regional role in the Central Asian region since 2002, highlighting the patterns and dimensions of this external behavior (politically, economically, culturally and militarily), as well as the challenges that have limited the margin of movement, And contributed to the disruption of Turkish ambition in this region.

The study found that the Turkish role in the Central Asian region has been relatively successful due to the absence of accurate calculations by decision-makers in Turkey, which takes into account the psychological environment and social and cultural environment of Central Asian societies, Foreign policy and the composition of political elites and their internal contradictions, and their economic requirements
