This article deals with French vis-à-vis lands and real estate in eastern Algeria.

this is after the signing of the surrender treaty on July 5, 1830 ad, and the accompanying economic, social and political developments.

and since the economic aspect is extremely important in the French objectives to invade Algeria; the issue raised in this study falls within France's economic goals in Algeria and its policy in this field.

and the consequences of that policy on the French economy.

and the implications for Algerian society.

it also discusses the French legislative decisions and decrees issued by the occupation administration between 1830 and 1850, and the researcher tries in this regard to analyze and discuss the content of these laws in the context of a critical reading of French policy in Algeria in general, as well as the French administration's dealings with real estate in particular.
