It enables the officials to know the people's concerns, interests and orientations, and hence, it boosts political stability and security within society, particularly if it is framed and organized in representative organizations and institutions.

Here, the presence of an active civil society emerges as an important factor to ensure the constructive interactions between the various actors operating in the internal politics in a way that enhances the trust between the government and its citizenry.

Civil society, as a combination of multiple organizations, is the intermediary standing between the citizens and their government as it delivers their concerns and demands to the authorities in an efficient way.

A fact that helps the government to embrace effective and efficient public policies that are mainly directed to meet those demands.

Moreover, civil society plays a crucial role in combating corruption and mitigate its negative effects through monitoring the behavior of government agencies and holding public officials accountable.

Here is why the French philosopher Alexis De Tocqueville deemed civil society “a necessary element for democracy and its monitoring eye”
