Abstract EN

The Algerian lawmaker has granted the local collectivities the possibility to cooperate with the foreign local collectivities, in the frame work of concluding cooperative relations and exchange within respect of national values and also within the strict observance of national interests and international obligations, under condition that the aim shall the achievement of a confirmed national and local public interest.

In this respect, an executive decree №17-329was issued and determined the modalities of setting up decentralized cooperative relations between the Algerian and foreign local collectivities, it determined the procedural restrictions pertaining to modalities on how to conclude relations of decentralized cooperation and the forms it must take, it as well determined the objective restrictions to set up decentralized cooperation via determining the areas domain of decentralized cooperation and the aims of that cooperation.
