Countries hosting foreign investment change their legislation, in order to achieve the desired development and to keep up with the quick economic developments which the world is witnessing, however, this may undermine the confidence of the foreign investor and his fears grew as a result of the economic imbalance of the contract in a manner leading to harm to the foreign party, which has led many countries to pledge and its commitment not to prejudice the legal regime of the contract, and imposing what is known as the requirement of legislative stability in its contracts with foreign investors, and the goal is to establish the legislative role of the State and to provide protection to the investor throughout the period of execution of the contract.
