Abstract EN

It goes without saying that the linguistics of the text (the science of the language of the text) falls within the communicative approach, and it is an early scientific linguistic stream, concerned with studying the text in its entirety, taking into account its communicative dimension and focusing on the role of the surrounding contexts.

Its methodology of analysis is based on transcending the linguistics of the sentence (syntax) that stands at the boundaries of the sentence as a subject.

However, the course of the historical formation of this science reveals the existence of many attempts struck in the depths of history aiming to describe single textual phenomena These attempts are particularly evident in the science of classical western rhetoric (the art of rhetoric in general), the science of classical Western rhetoric (the art of private pleading in the courts) and the science of Arabic rhetoric.

Rhetoricians have been interested since ancient times in studying some aspects of rhetoric based on their awareness of the coherence of discourse and the relevance of its parts.

It led to the elevation of the discourse to the level of expression capable of containing the recipient, influencing his consciousness, and convincing his mind.

But does this talk mean that the contents of the linguistics of the text are old and wear a new form? Then what justified for modern Arab researchers the combination of Arabic rhetoric and the linguistics of the text? Is the method of the study the same in both, or do they both agree in the final aim ( end).

I will try, through this paper, to investigate the relationship between the textual signals transmitted in the Arab and Western heritage, and this science is newly emerging, as we find many researchers refer this science to a previous history that strikes the depths of the past, It is nothing but an old science presented in a new and organized form.
