Abstract EN

Many furious heroes had defended the glory of the Islamic nation, so history recorded their glories and made them symbols of Islam.

Some of them are those whose names are absent from contemporary history books and only few people know about their exploits.

Among the sons of this nation, we mention the righteous king, Nur al-Din Mahmoud, for he was one of the few who spent their lives in getting knowledge, , Jihad, and reforms.

But does the honor reserved only to those who had previously prepared the conquest of Jerusalem and not for those who followed them and earned the honor of conquering it.

Sultan Nur al-Din Mahmoud deserves great praise for his jihad and the liberation of Jerusalem from the crusaders.

A man like him, for his many good deeds, rare morals, great stances, steadfastness in goodness, and his pursuit of the development of the country should be well-known.

Historians and scholars must revive his history and biography to be a guideline for enlightenment and a science for emulation.
