Al-Amidi criticized many of the metaphors of Abu Tammam in his book AL-muwazanah, describing them as ugliness and being far from correct, and the reason for this criticism was Abi Tammam's departure from the methods of the Arin their metaphors.

It has the right to be renewed in the methods of expression and methods of representation, and I have followed the method of these critics.

Therefore, I tried in this study to respond to Al-Amidi's criticisms of these metaphors, with an explanation of the rhetorical methods they contain, that are strong evidence of the ingenuity of these metaphors and the magnificence of the imagination and imagery they contain.
