The intentional theory is central to the shift in the metaphorical critical thinking which this research aims to find the author’s purposes in the interpretation process.

This last was witnessed by the Hermeneutic practice brought by “Schleiermacher”, “Daltay” and “Hirsch” including the Romanesque and Modern, which has witnessed many trends among those who support the intentional theory: The author’s intention, and the reliability of interpretation for textual meaning reconstruction or searching for other purposes or readers’ purposes as well.

This has been done through a methodological research adopting both: interpretation and criticism, or as embodied by Umberto Eco’s triple purposes (Author, Text and a Reader).
