Abstract EN

The paper dealt with the issue of economic development in the state of Central Darfur, which is one of the regions rich in agricultural potentials, both plants and animals, in the Darfur region.

The study aimed at the most prominent developmental and economic projects that took place in the state after its separation.

Several hypotheses have been made, focusing on the fact that the region has economic potentials that can be exploited and develop developmental changes.

To achieve its goals, it followed the regional and descriptive approach.

Observations, personal interviews and field visits were used to collect data .The paper contained a study of the economic development (agricultural and livestock, forests, pastures, natural resources, plant protection, commercial activity and human development) that occurred in Central Darfur after its secession from West Darfur.The study found a set of results, the most important of which are: The state has geographical potentials for agricultural development, such as the favorable climate, fertile soil and abundance of water resources, which were not used to bring about development in the study area.
