تعد منطقة الحضنة من المناطق تعرضا للدراسة التاريخية و الاجتماعية و الأنثروبولوجية الفرنسية في الجزائر.
و مما جعلها محل دراسات متعددة التخصصات طبيعتها الخلابة طبعا إضافة إلى مكوناتها الاجتماعية وموروثها الحضاري على السواء فضلا عن دورها في مقاومة الوجود الاستعماري الفرنسي من خلال المقاومة الشعبية و كذا السياسية مع تبلور الحركة الوطنية ثم خلال حرب التحرير (1954-1962).
من الأقلام التأريخية التي كان لها الفضل في تسليط الضوء على المخزون الحضاري لهذه المنطقة نجد: هنري أوكابتان وأوجين فايسات و كذا إرنيست ميرسييه.
شخصيات تركت بصماتها في المدرسة التأريخية الفرنسية و الغربية من جهة العربية و الجزائرية على السواء.
كل شخصية كتبت عن الحضنة وقف ما تملكه من خلفيات سواء سياسية (وبالتالي استعمارية) أو علمية أكاديمية باعتبار كل من هذه الشخصيات كلف بكتابة تقارير عن المنطقة اعتبارا لمؤهله العلمي أساسا.
