Abstract EN

The study aimed to study the geographic analysis of the map of Al-Wasta Island – Al Fath - Assiut Governorate.

It provided an analysis of the terrain and morphological characteristics; shedding light on the use of the land and population characteristics, as well as deducing the problems facing the island.

This was performed through the field study and questionnaire.

The study recommended that the necessity of including the peoples of the island in the upcoming censuses as an administrative unit or subordinate, providing the island with health services, education, security, agriculture, clean drinking water, sanitation, covering parts exposed to the carving in order to maintain, legalizing the situation of the people, encourage the fishing craft in the island taking into account not to harm the environment, attracting investment in the island in the field of rural and environmental tourism, unifying a specific entity to carry out planning and development of river islands rather than being subjected to more than one government.
