Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the interaction and dealing of government agencies, governmental and independent bodies in Saudi Arabia with electronic rumors accompanying the Corona virus from the point of view of their spokes persons.

For this purpose, a simple intentional sample was chosen from the spokespersons in those agencies, consisting of (35) representing the study population.

The total of correct answers of questionnaire questions are (25), which represents (75%) of the target study population.

The study relied on the survey descriptive approach through collecting, organizing, displaying and describing data for the study sample using the statistical program (SPSS), through which the study sample questionnaires were analyzed.

The results of the study indicated that the overall instrument obtained an average of (4.33 out of 5) with a very high degree.

The results showed that there are no statistically significant differences attributable to demographic variables (gender, age, qualification, work experience, and workplace) between the responses of the sample members about their awareness of the electronic rumors associated with the Corona virus in terms of concept, goals and risks, and about their role in confronting these rumors, as well as the role played by the official authorities in facing the rumors accompanying the Corona epidemic.

Based on the results of this study, several recommendations were presented to confront the rumors associated with the Corona epidemic, which can be used by the relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
