Abstract EN

This Research reviews the hadiths, in which trees and plants were mentioned, such as the trees of Heaven and Hell.

It also states the prophetic sayings that describe the merit of a person who plants trees and what was mentioned about people likening some trees in general terms of benefit, trees that have a blessing, or a nutritional, medicinal, or environmental benefit, such as palms, olives, and arak, and the names of trees that were accidentally mentioned by chance in the hadith.

Also, this Research shows the differences between trees that share a form and differ in name, such as Athl and tarfa’a ‘tamarisk’.

The Research deals with the rest of the names of trees and plants that were mentioned in hadiths, such as Sidr , Sumr , Al-Idhkhir , and others.

The Research included important results, such as: The number of hadiths and sayings mentioning trees and plants reached forty-two hadiths, and some of these trees composed the text of Hadith; others came accidentally.

Some results indicate the benefits of some food and medicinal trees.
