The current Research aims to trace the stages of the conflict between the Ma’azib tribe and the Tahirid State who ruled Yemen from 858 to 923 AH/ 1454 to 1517 AD.

In the introduction, the Research explores the nature of the Ma’azib Tribe and their rebellion, besides the rationale of the Research.

It also gives a brief description on how Tahirids came to power in Yemen.

The Research then traces the conflict between the Ma’azib Tribe and Tahirid State till the fall of the latter by the Mamluks .This study documents a part of the political history of Yemen and thus the Researcher has used the descriptive analytical approach.

The Research highlights the independence aspirations of the Ma’azib Tribe, and the support of to the Tihami tribes including the Ma’azib Tribe to the Mamluks invasion against Yemen, which leads to the fall of Tahiri State .
