Abstract EN

The tools of the urban planning have played an important role, regarding the organization and operation of the city.

The documents of town planning have tried to lift the constraints related to the environment and to stimulate a sustainable development.

However, following the example of the Moroccan cities, the city of Settat, constitutes a geographical, economic and social space, knowing challenges and environmental problems, because of the strong demographic pressure, the increasing demand in housing, and the degradation of the green spaces to profile projects of housing environment in view of the predominance of the urbanism derogatory.

It brings us, within the framework of this article, to wonder about the environmental issue and their socio-spatial impact in the city of Settat.
