Abstract EN

The indefinite is an attribute of the Arabic language as opposed to the definite, for the indefinite and the definite are two important elements in the synthesis of speech, as there is a differential in usage between them depending on the differences between them, and these differences are on the basis of which selection is made.The research deals with the indefinite rather than the definite, as it is its origin and it does not require evidence in its connotation as opposed to the definite, focusing in its study on its connotation in the Holy Qur’an by virtue of its vagueness, its prevalence and its lack of its connotation of a specific thing and its realization of oppositional meanings, such as "glorifying, belittling, minimizing, multiplying, specializing and obscuring ".
