Abstract EN

Iraq (Mesopotamia) is one of the important countries whose land is rich in many tourist areas of all kinds, religious, archaeological, entertainment, cultural and many others.

Our research came to identify the impact of what Iraq went through from Political and economic crises on the reality of the tourism sector there.

The research came with two studies, the first of which was an introduction to the history of Iraqi tourism in addition to the cities and tourist places there.

As for the second topic, it was a practical section, in which we presented an opinion poll on a sample from the community.

The research concluded that the political and security situation is one of the most important reasons that led to political weakness in Iraq, in addition to the lack of investment in tourist places.

And we presented several recommendations, the most important of which is to better pay attention to tourist places, to be keen on the unity, security and stability of Iraq, and to consolidate better relations with neighboring countries and countries other world.
