Abstract: This research deals with the rhythmic phenomena in one of the kids’ stories in Saudi literature; a textual approach in the story titled When the Yoon Star Flew (2011) by Nouf ALOsaimi.

The study aims to unveil the most significant elements of the vocal rhythm (verbally, syntactically and semantically), and to highlight the role of rhythm in achieving textual cohesion, as well as to support the continuity and consistency through the entire text; thus ensuring the success of the communication message with the recipient
