Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the impact of using play strategy in teaching Arabic on developing the critical thinking skills among sixth grade students in Baghdad.

The study adopted the quasi-experimental approach and the sample was represented with (56) students from the basic schools of the Directorate of Education of Baghdad who were distributed into two groups: experimental and control.

The researcher prepared a guide for the play strategy.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a test for the critical thinking skills test.

The study concluded statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental group which used the play strategy and the control group which adopted the regular approach in the critical thinking test in favor of the experimental group
