Abstract EN

The study aimed to identifying and understanding aspects of schooling leaders’ role to build an effective partnerships between the school and the community.

The study followed the descriptive method and its tool " Questionnaire ", the research questions which was applied to the sample (206) director of a private and public school.

The most important results are the following: - That the most important role of school leadership practices was in the formation of the Association Committee, and the Council of parents and teachers.

- That the most important obstacles of the role of schooling leaders as for the activation of the partnership was the large number of administrative burdens, lack of leadership training, poor participation of leaders belonging to the local community.

- That the most important ways to develop the role of schooling leaders is to build the partnership including strengthening the vision and mission of the school, and to form a committee / unit to be responsible for the partnership, as well as the fact that the local community's needs that can be granted by the school.
