Abstract EN

The European Court for Human Rights occupies an important place in the domain of controlling Human Rights generally and the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and fundamental freedoms more specifically.

It is considered as an international judicial system as contained in the European convention in 1950, in which it controls the extent of obligation of states parties to the rules of this convention.

The European Court became the only system mandated to monitor the European Convention for Human Rights, after totally abandon the second control mechanism represented in the European Commission on Human Rights under the Protocol 11 to the European Convention promulgated in 1998.

In this article the focus is on the definition of the European Convention for human rights and emphasizing on the European Court and their procedures to realize the protection of Human Rights.
