This study examines the discrepancy between fundamental rules, which are considered to be one of the most crucial topics of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence.

This study focuses on clarifying the concept and divisions of fundamental rules, the difference between the fundamental rules and juristic rules, clarifying the concept of discrepancy between the fundamental rules, its pillars, conditions and types, indicating the methods of voiding the discrepancy between the fundamental rules such as combination or preponderance.

If such combination or preponderance aren't possible, the voidance shall be through selection, termination or cessation.

The research plan includes an introduction, three topics and a conclusion.
