Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the concept of university leadership, its main roles in the present time, understand the concept of the university climate and its dimensions within university life, and to reveal the concept of administrative innovation and its dimensions in university leadership.

In addition, the study aimed to monitor the reality of the role of university climate in developing administrative innovation among university leaders in Egypt.

Therefore, the study proposes a number of recommendations to activate the role of the university climate in the development of administrative innovation among university leaders in Egypt.

The current study adopted a descriptive approach as it is the closest research approach to the problem study.

The tools utilized in the study were: University Climate Questionnaire (by the researcher), Administrative Innovation Measure (by the researcher) which was applied to a random sample of university leaders distributed as: Dean (6), Vice Dean (18) and Head of Department (18).

The findings of the study concluded that all terms of university climate level as well as administrative innovation level according to the viewpoints of some university leaders (Dean of college – Vice Dean – Heads of Departments) recorded moderate degrees.

There were statistically significant differences on the level of university climate according to the viewpoints of some university leaders according to the college variable (theoretical/ practical).

In addition, there was a statistically significant relation at significance level (0.01) between the overall total of university climate and the overall total of administrative innovation according to the viewpoints of some university leaders.
