The study aimed to verify the impact of the self-questioning strategy on developing expressive writing skills among middle school students, The researcher used in the study the experimental approach in his semi-experimental design, where a sample of middle-grade students in middle schools in the governorate was chosen.

) students; They were randomly divided into two groups: The control group (taught using the regular method) consisted of (20) students, The experimental group (taught using self-questioning) consists of (20) students, The measurement was done using an achievement test to measure the skills of self-questioning, as its validity and reliability were verified, And then applying it before and after the two groups, and using the appropriate statistical methods, a set of results was reached, the most prominent of which are: There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of students of the experimental group and the control group in expressing writing skills for the benefit of the experimental group, In light of these results, a set of recommendations was presented, the most important of which are: the need to pay attention to teaching my immortal language in the middle stage through the use of self-questioning, And to work on using the self-question in presenting the different school subjects, And work to train learners at different educational levels, especially the intermediate stage, to use the self-question that facilitates learners to acquire educational experiences provided to them, And work to improve the educational process in general, and the Arabic language in particular.
