The nature of the political, economic, social, cultural and technical changes in the modern era and their repercussions on the nature of life in the contemporary international society have made many countries of the world reconsider and review many methods and mechanisms related to the work of the security services in general and the police in particular, And it was one of the most important developments that have been worked on and applied in the field of application and the use of data in the work of the police, what is known as "community policing".This research seeks to stop the concept of community policing and how its idea and its applications originated in contemporary countries, with a focus on the Iraqi experience in this field, which tried to activate the mechanisms of work in the community police after 2003.
