Abstract EN

The issue of lean production is one of themodern topics that have been received attentionin the business world.

This topichas got a special attention after the challengesthat the world witnessed, includingthe globalization of the economy, thedevelopment of information technology, and internet networks.

Therefore, theindustrial companies have started to addressthese challenges and improve theirproduction processes through the use ofmodern production systems such as, theproduction system.

The aim of this researchis to highlight the concept of leanproduction and to study the techniquesor principles that make up the productivesystem.

Also, its applicability is investigatedin the industrial organizationsoperating in Iraq, including the foodproducts company of the Ministry of Industryand Minerals.

The methodologyof the exploratory study was used in thisresearch.

Likewise, questionnaire toolwas used to analyze the opinions of theresearch sample depending on the basesof the lean production system availablein the investigated company.

Some statisticalmethods were used in the analysis, namely, extraction of frequencies, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and relative importanceThe main conclusions of the research arethat the achievement of the pillars of theproduction of lightness of relative importance.

The total productivity maintenanceachieved the first rank in the relative importancecompared to the other lean productionconcentrates according to theanswers of the sample of the research personnelin the investigated company.

Thereis also a limited interest in improvementsand future studies from the investigatedcompany.

The most important recommendationsare the need for the managementof the company to pay attention tothe organization of the work site and cellularmanufacturing as they achieved lessrelative importance among the pillars ofother lean production.

Also, the industrialcompanies in general and the companyunder consideration in particular shouldadopt the system of lean production asphilosophy of modern manufacturingwhich aims to remove all unnecessary activitiesthat do not add value to the finalproduct.
